Summer Palace vs Kozo Japan

Hello Lads,

This is a reminder to the email Patrick wrote to you earlier in the week …  If you haven’t replied to me about your availability for the Summer Palace match this Sunday morning 16th November, kick off 10:30AM… PLEASE REPLY NOW !!

Please be at Chaoyang Stadium changed and ready for a warm-up session at 10:00 AM.

As we proved last weekend by our slow and un-organised start, it’s important we are all there on time to stretch and warm-up properly as a team to be focused for the match.

Bangkok Veterans Classic — 21-22/Feb/2009

Hi Pikey and Jason,

This is EG from Bangkok! Hope you’ve been well.

Not sure whether you guys are planning to come to the Easter in April, but we’re back on the scene with a “new” football tournament for another chance to visit Bangkok!

Just wanted to drop a note and check whether Forbidden City would be interested in participating in an Over-35s 8-a-side vets tournament during Feb/21-22nd next year.

Please have a look through the Bangkok Vets League website, and check out the details in the following link:
==> http://www.vetsleague.com/htmls/bvc_invitation.htm

Let me know what you think in the next 10-15 days as we continue reserving spots for those 16 lucky teams.

Hope to see y’all in Bangkok soon.

Kind regards,
=EG=

New Tracksuits - ready tonight

Citizens,

the new tracksuits are ready and we’ll distribute them starting from tonight. They are good quality Umbro tracksuits and the style is similar to the ones we ordered a couple of years ago, only this time it’s red top and blue bottoms.

We ordered 30 tracksuits and they are 300 RMB each, which is possible through sponsorship by Luga’s Villa Mexican Restaurant in Sanlitun.

Tracksuits will be handed out against cash only, no credit available. Different sizes are available. First come, first serve.

The following 13 players made the effort to reply to an email asking about interest in tracksuits in September and we have reserved one for them:
Alex Henderson,Glen Royce, James McKay, Jason Dorey, Jochen Tenhagen, Luca Merlone, Patrik Wilkens, Pere Torrens, Philippe Healey, Rafael Peinado, Ryan Wegner, Simon Ross, Stefan Hase-Bergen

See you tonight,
Jochen

MAN OF MATCH VOTING DONKEY VOTING
Nick - For having a nicotine break and then coming back on and scoring 3 decent goals Luca - Failing to make a single pass to anyone in the 1st half and having a touch of a rapist + Mike - for the audacity to turn up looking like a pre-fall of the Berlin Wall, East German.
Nick - raised our game after coming back on again and scoring 3 goals Matt - Losing control and actually deserved a red card.
Stefan - Just solid Luca - from half ... really?
Luca - Well taken goals Luca - Bambi impressions
Nick "pull me off, give me a rest and I will score a Jason Dorey hat-trick for y'all" Otter Rafa - Run another half marathon first and you might have some energy for the next game
Luca - wearing banana's for boots Alex - the ROCK
Nick - for playing in the second half only and still scoring a hat-trick! Luca - for his 2nd half kick-off that was barely making it across their goal
Nick - Back in the second half and change the game, well done. Philippe and Blythe "Forbidden City Hospital Unit" - For coming to the pitch 45 minutes in advance not to watch the game but to cover blisters, black nails and put on 3 or 4 ankle straps; For his shoulder and cock injury, respectively.

MAN OF MATCH VOTING DONKEY VOTING
Pikey - great game, with plenty of agression, and cool fucking gloves Glen - for fuck up in his own 18 yard box, and shouting no more micky mouse stuff.
Adam - Great Game! Mike Rahn - For being on the pitch for 19 minutes and talking for 18 of them
Jason - Great Saves -
Jason - Brilliant saves "Offside Jim" for not being onside
Pikey - Played well the whole match (even as a sub) ?? Mike, so many things; For asking Jose if he was playing next week; for getting twatted in the head by Andy Mo
Jason - GK extraordinaire Mike - MF part-timer
Jason Dorey for some spectacular saves and a very worthy clean sheet Glen - gave them direct passes on more than one occassion on a belief he would get some Korean girl action, but wasn't even invited on to their bus.
Jason "Kick, save and a beaut (byuut)" Joseba - smacking Nassir TWICE at point blank range
Lulu - It easily could have been Jason Dorey, he has displayed a very solid performance in the goal, keeping us in the lead in the 1st half. However when the Koreans continued to show time and time again they couldn't finish a short story, his star faded. Therefore, *Lulu* with his game winning goal and fabulous awareness assisting with Billy's second goal and of course good running, can't be denied my MoM nomination. Andy Mo - This one is always a tough call wioth this group; Adam Ferry and Jose are the perpetual donkey's ass and are always a safe bet, and Glenn telling me to stop playing Mickey-mouse (or was it monkey-mouse) balls after I played the one few quality outside of the foot long balls of the season. A pass which happened to land quite nicely on the foot of a wide open forward which lead to a counter attack goal. Which to this day I'm sure he (Glenn) would still augured, I misunderstood his meaning), But no it has to go to one of my favorite Palace stalwarts *Andy Mo*, After a back pass from me and my obstruction of the two pressuring defender, wherein the referee gracious awarded us a free kick by clearly whistling a foul, preceded to blast the (hard as hell) into my face from a distance of a few meters. What a fucking Donkey, *Andy Mo!* You spineless, Lilly liver'd, impetuous brute. Your a better player than that. My head is still ringing and jaw misaligned, cheers mate.
