The new 11-a-side football season is coming very soon and we should get prepared.

First of all can you all let me know:
1: if you’ll be playing football with us next season: YES or NO
2: how much can you commit to the team (for example tell me if you can play “most of the games”, “about 50% of the games”, “just the odd game”)

It’s important that I get very quickly an idea about who will be around and committed for the coming season. So please answer NOW those simple questions, thanks.

Second point: we have our first training session tomorrow evening: Lido pitch (=Side Park) 10-12PM (yes that’s right, but it’s only a temporary arrangement before we can get back to our normal 8-10pm schedule). Please come numerous so that we can have a good practice session.

This Sunday Forbidden City FC will have it’s annual season ending/award party. We’ve had a great year and we really want to end it with a great party all citizens young and old can enjoy Here are the details:

Location: Double Tree by Hilton Hotel, Roof Deck / pool area. 168 Guang An Men Wai Avenue Xuan Wu Beijing – Tel: 6338 1888

Time: 11:00am – 4pm Main event BBQ in the sun and for those that want to keep it going 5 pm onwards Sanlitun rampage

Theme: Dress in YELLOW!!!!

Deal: 158 RMB all you eat delicious BBQ (Burgers, sausages, lamb chops, steak, selection of salad and side dishes) and Drink (Beer, wine, soft drinks) . Free for under 6 year olds/ half price under 12.

The area is located on the hotel roof deck complete with Naturally sun lit, glassed-in pool (so bring your trunks-bikinis), and expansive grass section. The day will contain awards, games, and a whole lot more. Bring the wive, girlfriends and mates and let’s have a great day to wrap up the season in style, have fun with friends and family as we get together to say goodbye to dedicated Manager Crazy Horse Big Jim.

Well done to all involved in last saturday game vs Chaoyang Park Rangers, as we managed our biggest win (so far), 7-1.

This coming saturday we are playing our LAST league game of the 2009-2010 season. We are playing against Azzurri, the Italian side we have not managed to beat for a long time (they won in the last 3 occasions we played them).
The venue is the same as in recent week, Chaoyang Stadium (new pitch on the northern side of the big stadium), kick off is at 4 PM< meet at the pitch at 3:30 PM.

Who is available? Please reply as soon as possible.

Dear Citizens,

A hard fought victory on Sunday, with a 1-0 victory over old rivals Sexy with some players labouring some of the work load more than others.

Dont forget guys that City still have the Super Cup to fight for, so make sure you continue to train and make yourself available for the last few games…

This Wednesday there will be a special Phillipe/ Dunny orientated fun training session planned for tomorrow

So please let me know NOW if you can come training and then meet up with Pikey for a drink in 1st floor afterwards before he goes back to England!!

Last game of the season on Saturday. Lets sign off in style by having a big night out afterwards!!!

Venue – Tairyo (Either opposite workers or new one in The Village)
Cost 168 – 200rmb for all you can eat and drink teppanyaki!!!! (Too much saki and I may be home earlier than usual!!!)
Time – 8pm

Seriously good food and drink here (unless your Sheff).

Let me know asap so I can book a table. Anyone got any serious probs with choice of venue let me know and we’ll look for somewhere else.

Thank you everybody yesterday, for a thoroughly hard, fast, intelligent, passing match! It was great to take part of in a such truly well supported passionate exciting game!

It was a pleasure to see everyone’s true colours brilliantly flourish with a shimmer of flair and magic! I know that everyone can now take this, store it away and have the mental ability to bring it out to play when ever we need it!

Not long to wait……. match this Sunday v Sexy @ Lido MEET AT 1.15pm

………. and you know what? its still possible to win the league with 2 games to go, so lets go and enjoy the game!

Good question if anyone famous is playing .. I did a quick google of the starting line ups..

Apparently some guy called Barry George is playing and is very famous it seems ….

Some names of the Chinese oppostion are as follows

Fat Slo Man – ex Guangdong FC who has since lost his pace due to too many noodles and Tsingtaos

Hao di mis – former striker with a poor finishing record

Long Kok – popular with the Italian and French players from his team, during post match showers

Ru tu Won – ex defender who preferred the big kick up field to the tall centre forward rather than passing through the mid field

Wang ke – very argumentitive player and not liked by opposition or team mates

Ming Er – nightclubbing midfielder who had a habit of pulling ugly women

On Tsai De – fast winger, who never seemed to get the benefit of the doubt from the linesman

Only 3 league games of the season left! With Forbidden City still having a huge chance to still be crowned league champions!!

It may only take Afrika to draw one of there final 3 games and City winning all there’s we could be IFFC 2009/10 Premier League Champions

BUT, you dont win anything without any hard work! So if you dont come training and i dont think your fully fit then you wont play in these key exciting final games!
