Hello Lads,
After the October Holiday (for some of you) I hope you enjoyed it but kept fit and a raring to lose those extra pints added while watching the Rugby. etc.
Training will resume as usual at the Lido Pitch, this Wednesday at 8pm. With some big games coming up this Sunday (Afrika and Azurri), fitness is key. Be there each week.
For the rest of the season, you can look on the IFFC1994 website as below or see the provisional schedule in the attachment. You will see Palace are mostly Saturday with a couple of Sundays thrown in, and City are the opposite.

City/Palace,
We are planning to have a training session tomorrow evening, Wednesday 5th, at the usual place, Lido pitch, and the usual time 8-10pm. However, as we could not confirm with the management that we’ll have the pitch for sure (nobody is picking up the phone), please check your email again tomorrow afternoon in case we have to cancel the training session. If the training is confirmed, and if you’re in Beijing, please make an effort to attend the training session. Both teams need it.
Cheers,
Patrick
PS: Jason is also trying to get the pitch at the Canadian school for a kick about on Saturday afternoon. Again, check your email tomorrow for more details about that one
Well done this weekend!
Palace couldnt quite keep up with their winning streak losing against a very good team. good battle though!
City charged forward and won in style against the Strollers 5-0.
Make it to training this Wednesday 8-10pm Lido pitch Maps here
Cheers,
Philippe
Hello All,
While we at Forbidden City bombard you with emails, delete the rest, this is the most important!
The Easter weekend of April 6th 2012 is the German All Stars 11 a-side (and 7 a-side veterans) football tournament in the delightful city of Bangkok. We will be taking a full squad of footballers and party-goers.
So for those:
- Poor students: start saving those Renminbi to convert into 5 times the amount of baht.
- Busy executives: book the time off work, or even better, book a work trip to Bangkok the week before.
- Under the thumb: start making the excuses to the wives and/or girlfriends and promise her lot’s of nice things (even a week’s holiday on a Thai beach starting on Monday 9th April!).
- Ex-Beijinger’s: come and meet up in Bangkok for the weekend, you can’t have a better excuse (especially a short hop from Hong Kong, Phuket or Singapore – you know who you are!).
All are welcome for a great weekend of football and partying (and even some like Philippe may bring girlfriends too).
Save the Date!
Get involved!
Yours,
Pikey

The best we could get is to play on Monday afternoon (3pm kick off) at the Western Academy of Beijing (WAB) – see attached Google map link for the location.
the address is:

Evening All.
Training is on again this Wednesday at the same time and place as last week (full details below).
With the start of the BTV6 9 a-side tournament along with the all day 7 a-side tournament taking place this weekend, we are going to use this session to get the two squads playing together. There will be a warm up followed by some attacking drills, then we will spend the majority of the session playing 9 a-side (with substitutes).
All are welcome as usual.
Please can you bring a white top as well as a dark (black/blue) top to make it easier to split the teams. Also bring water with you as there is nowhere close to the field to buy it.
Date: Wednesday 10th August
Time: 8:30 – 10:00pm (try to arrive early so we can start on time)
Location: 9 a-side pitch at Chaoyang Park (50m on right after entering east gate 7)
Cost: 30Rmb
See you there.
Cheers,
Ally
