G2: Summer Palace vs Dong Ren

Palace,

Our next league game is against a new team, called Dong Ren. They should be a lot tougher to beat than the Chaoyang Park rangers as they won against Red Stars 5-1 last weekend.
The game is scheduled for this Saturday, 24th of September, kick off at 2PM, and we’ll play at the Lido (=Side Gongyuan). Meet at pitch at 1:30PM.

Who wants to play?

Please reply as soon as possible, even if you’re not available. As we have many players available I won’t bother chasing people up if they don’t reply to the team call.

See you at training tomorrow, Wednesday 21st, 8-10pm at the Lido

Cheers,
Patrick

Play off game vs French LE B

Palace,

I hope you’ve now recovered from the party on sunday night celebrating for City winning the premier league in emphatic fashion.

For Palace, it was a very disappointing day: We lost against Red cards (defeat 2-3, match report to follow if I can find the time to write it, although i would appreciate if someone else did it, any volunteer??) and we also lost Rowan, who broke is collar bone and has to go through surgery (last night). He’s staying at the Beijing United hospital, near the Lido. We will pass on more info and arrange a visit to the hospital when Rowan will have recovered a little, post-surgery.

Regarding the league, we have been given a chance to redeem ourselves. As Athletico totally screwed the league by fielding a semi-pro Chinese team for the last 4 weeks and that the results of our game as well as the French LE B’s game vs Athletico are both under examination by the disciplinary committee of the League, the French LE B and us, as well as the IFFC all agreed that it would be more practical and fair to just play a “play-off game” between the French B and Palace to decide which team wins the First Division league this season.

Only players having played at least 4 games with their B teams (i.e. Summer Palace and French LE B) are allow to take part (so Philippe, Jochen, Darren, Barrie,: you’re not qualified to play in this game, sorry!).

This game will be played this saturday at 12 noon, at the Lido (Side Gongyuan). Who is available?
Please reply ASAP and don’t forget to come to training tomorrow, wednesday 8 pm at the LIDO.

Cheers,
Patrick

A French Outing

Hello lads,

Just a short and sweet email to invite you to participate in an afternoon of drinking icy-cold beverages whilst watching the French get whipped by Atletico. We are all aware that Atletico beating the French would mean the title would be ours if we were to beat Red Cards on sunday, so Ben Roberts and I decided it would be a good chance to begin the weekend’s festivities by catching a few rays, drinking and generally aggravating our rivals.

Kick-off is at 4pm at Chaoyang Stadium (TBC – follow up email for those who are interested) so the plan is to go there en-masse via some kind of public transport (depends how many people are up for it).

This is a huge game with regards to where we finish in the table, so I personally would like to be there to cheer on the other team, and get wasted.

If you want in, reply to this email or text either myself or Ben.

Cheers,
Chris

FCFC Bang Bus!

Boys, we are going all out this Sunday!

We have hired a bus for the day that will be taking people to the Chaoyang Pitch in the morning for the Palace game and then taking everyone to the Lido Pitch before our final destination of Luga’s for celebrations.

The bus sets off from Gongti at 10:30AM on Sunday morning, before passing by Nongzhanlan Guan at 10:45AM and then onto the pitch.

The bus will ferry us between matches before our final stop of Luga’s at 6:45PM.

If we pass nearby on the way to Chaoyang Pitch let me know and we can make a stop.

Contact me on Sunday to let me know if you need us to pick you up or wait for you.

Cheers

Blythe

Call to arms: Palace vs Athletico

We played brilliantly against Dragons and now it’s time for another big match!

ARE YOU AVAILABLE?

At this point in time the match is scheduled for Saturday 14th, 2pm kick-off (meet at 1:15pm) at Chaoyang but that might change this week… I will email confirmation of date/time/venue when we know for sure.

Athletico can still win the league if they win all of their remaining fixtures this season so they’ll be up for it this weekend but of course, three more wins for us champions! We can show them that 8-1 was not a one-off
but a demolition they should expect against us…

Training is on Wednesday as ever, 8pm Lido.

Yeeeaaah boys!
REPLY TO THIS, NOT
PATRICK!
