SEASON 06/07
Lots of matters happened recently I do not know even where to star! t. First, my last mail I wrote late on last Thursday beeing late, but did not know it did not go out so I send it when I noticed on Saturday morning that late with a wrong schedule for Game 13. All teams effected where noticed so here is the corrected schedule included.
Second besides great matches in all divisions we had two matches which need special attention (also see the match reports): in the First Division: Afrika Utd. Vs. Russia Utd. And in the Second Division Babarians A vs. Beida China. So far I deceided the consequences for the Beida China-Babarian match and I did count the score of the Afrika-Russia match, but I will ask the newly formed excecutive committee to check these matters. I will also meet the referees this Wednesday evening at 8pm to review certain matters.
So as the Third point the IFFC is setting up a new structure. There will be a IFFC new excecutive committee which shall meet next Wednesday at 8pm at! Frank s place near the Lido Park. So far following members are included:
Jason / Forbidden City FC
Ian / Afrika Utd.
Lee / Babarians A
Ralf / Sexy FC (to be confirmed)
Thomas / French LE (to be confirmed)
Enda / Celtics Gold C (to be confirmed)
This committee includes people who spent a lot of time giving to the IFFC and so far I did not get a reply of interests of other me! mbers. This committee shall be kept small around five members ! and shal l meet on a monthly basis.
The work of this committee includes following points:
If anyone of you wishes to join (you must bring input time & dedication) please contact me as soon as possible under 6234 7106.
The Fourth point of this mail is OUR website. As I mentioned in my last e-mail that there was a huge problem of the guy who supposed to make the website. At the end he ran off with the cash and is not available. So I aksed my good friend Yu Yang to take matters in his hands. We created a temporaly website http://iffc.rockinchina.com (no use of www.)for the upcoming weeks. There you will be able to find this years results, tables and match reports for all matches. Next Monday we will register an new own name and in the future there will be blogs for comments to each match & match reports. So far I will not include the schedule into the new website since of the daily possible changes (some teams might then regard the sites schedule as final but did not remember the change). I will discuss this and other site matters in the upcoming committee meeting.
Point Five is the Hong Kong Champions league. I included the new mail from Philipe at the end of this mail. Please read it and get back to Philipe and me incase of interest. Next meeting this matter will also be discusses.
Six, finally there is a phone contact list from all teams (Hi Eskil, its kinda late but there as promised). See at the end of this mail.
And a special seventh last point: As some of you guys now I do play in a band in Germany. Now I newly formed a band called Raging Mob and I will have my first live appearance this coming Friday at 8:30pm sharp (entrance 8pm). We are the first band of a heavy metal night and you are welcomed to see me live at the Get Lucky Bar near Nurenjie. This will be the big test before the Midi Festival in May which is a huge Open Air concert for 4 days in the Haidian Park which we were able to qualify.
OK guys, enough blah blah blah, here comes the newest news from all Divisions, enjoy reading them!

After great performances against the Africans & Russians this time F. City FC was stopped by the bottom ranked Celtics who fought well in a thrilling match. An early goal from Celtics Kwok Chow (5.) gave the Irish lads a narrow 0:1 lead which remained over the halftime until the last ten minutes of the match. Then finally the F. City FC could equalize for 1:1 by Jonny White (80.). Then just two minutes later Celtics Derek Swan (82.) scored the deceisive 1:2 and the Celtics defended the score with success until the final whistle. The Celtics moved out of last place and are now level with F. City FC seperated by goals only.
Sexy FC overpowered the Japanese in this match with a clear 3:0 win at the end. In the first half Sexys Max scored an early 1:0 lead (11.) which remained for the halftime score. Then as in the above match City vs. Celtics in the last ten minutes two more goals were scored, but it was Sexy FC who scored: Max with a second goal for 2:0 (80.) and with the final whistle it was Sam (90.) scoring the final 3:0 for Sexy FC.
The match was scheduled on Saturday and the French wanted to change to Sunday. Xiao Xu did get a probl. BUT not 100% from the Vikings, but already the IFFC gave the French the OK. At the end the Vikings could not make it, both sides were not happy and the IFFC paid the field for nothing. The IFFC is sorry for the misunderstanding, but we also try our best to make each wish to play come true. Mika/Thomas and Eskil please tell me when you can play.
Fortuna 94 came with their very best while the Strollers came without five best. From the start Fortuna 94 agressivly fought their way onto the Strollers goal and with goals from Figo (2.) and Nori (32.) Fortuna 94 scored a 2:0 halftime lead. In the second half Fortuna 94 missed lots of chances while the Strollers came fewer times front compared to the first half where the they almost scored couple times. Main striker Tom C. played and fough very well but just could not net the ball in. Then with the final whistle Strollers Matt Sutton scored the deserved 2:1 (90.), but Fortuna deserved to win today.
The Russians showed up with only 10 men and forfeited the match to the Africans 0:3. Guys I don not believe that this is fair since the relegation might be deceided on goal difference. This thing will be discussed in the next upcoming meeting in April.

Changda does play the rest of the season with other IFFC players and each game of the second round will count 0:3 to the opponent.
Yellow River is out from further competition.
It was from the beginning a tight match with an unhappy ending and very harsh consequences. In the first half the Babarians scored an early 1:0 lead through a goal from Steve Clayton (10.). Then Beida China struck back with a goal from Cai (27.) and Xiu (44.) to turn around the score 1:2 halfti! me. Then in the second half the match stayed tight and finally Dave Carini scored (84.) the 2:2 equalizer. At the same time Cai receiced a red card deservedly and then after they croewded around the ref two more Sun & Liu were send off which made them walk off the field. It was a disgrace cause it was a tight and interesting match. Yesterday I approached Beida China and met them last night. After a long dinner they saw their mistakes and apologyzed to me, the referee and to the Babarians. They accept the penalty of loosing this crucial match ! and 1.000RMB penalty. Further Sun & Liu are banned for the res! t of the season while Cai miss will three matches. Note that Jian De and Fu Bin were previously expelled from this season also in the match against Babarians. Since that game Beida China did not have any incident and since they are a long IFFC member and pledge to the IFFC that they will not do trouble anymore. I personally take the responsibility that they may finish this season (without any further trouble of course) and before next season they must be accepted by the IFFC Second Division teams.
Athletico kept their winning streak and their perfect record. This time it was Snickers Fc who felt the power of the leader. In the first half Athletico kept a close 0:1 lead with a goal from Fry (25.). In the second half suddenly Snickers FC could equalize through Li (50.). It took Athletico twenty minutes to answer and it was Wee Man striking twice (70. & 75.) for 1:3. Then Snickers FCs Li Xiao scored the 2:3 (80.), but it was doubled returned: Barbosa (82.) and Guidi (85.) scored for Athletico which gave them a deserved 2:5 victory over the Chinese.
This match was aleady played last week. Both teams gave each other a good fight to win todays match. It was in the first half when both sides scored their only goal of the match. First it was the Japanese Red Cards who scored the 0:1 lead through a goal from Sasaki (21.) but then just five minutes to the halftime whistle China Stars Li (40.) scored the deserved 1:1 equalizer. In the second half both sides missed good chances and no more scorers were added. Both sides wanted to win and at the end both needed to be satisfied with the one point share.

The Babarians just overpowered the Koreans in the first half and then in the second half just destroyed them, at the end winning 8:2. The score mirrows the match so here are the scorers: For Babarians it was Richard (27. & 79.) and Adam (42. & 55.) scoring twice, one goal each from Phil (41.), Ed (54.) and Sadler (85.) and an own goal from BTSs G.T. (38.). G.T. also scored for his own side (49.) while his teammate A.M. added one goal (35.) in the first half.
21 C Korea does play the rest of the season with other IFFC players and each game of the second round will count 0:3 to the opponent.
Hong Kong Utd. team pulled out from this season.
In a thrilling match which ended three all no winner could emerge. The Celtic Gold stunned the favorite Azzurri FC with three goals in the first half through Tudor (22.), Andy (30.) & James K. (43.), while Azzurri FC only could pull one goal back by Chicco (38.) for the 1:3 halftime score. In the second half the Celtics could not put in another goal while Azzurris Roby struck twice to level the match 3:3 (69. & 75.) until the end this remained the final score.
The Rockers gave favorites Renda FC a hard time and with a good discipline and good fight, Renda FC was able to win each half 0:1 for a total 0:2 victory over the Beijing Rockers. In the first half it was Renda FCs Mark scoring the 0:1 lead while captain Todd added the other goal (65.) after twenty minutes playe! d into the second half.
